SCPAAA, stands
for the South Central PA Athletic Association. The SCPAAA was incorporated
as a non-profit organization on January 23, 2004. It's original purpose
was to support sports teams and athletic organizations.
The original organization had two (2) primary purposes:
 | To provide a volunteer organizational
structure for any athletic team, that is run and directed by volunteers,
regardless of the teams structure and purpose. We provide an independent structure for
fund raising from patrons, charitable contributions, and/or by sponsorships,
thereby enabling that team an opportunity to play in whatever league
or tournaments that it chooses,
etc., that would not be available through an alternative source. |
| To provide an organization structure,
for independent associations that are interested in forming an association
for the purposes of establishing bylaws for the group of associations,
scheduling games & playoffs, and providing for the requirements of that
group. |
The non-profit
organization has evolved to include "WinNAdvance" or "Win and
Advance" tournament formats or bracket play for
tournaments. The plan for Win and Advance is to primarily use
college students for its operations. All funds collected shall be used for the
purpose of providing scholarships, team sponsorships, donated player equipment and
any other such uses.
